CRAG Enterprises LLC is a NM C-Corporation that specializes in designing and creating beautiful, timeless, and sustainable custom homes that are water and energy efficient, healthy, and comfortable. Led by Dee and Glenda Durano as principal owners, the company employs green-building principles and whole-house systems approach to construction in order to achieve the highest levels of certification of either Gold or Emerald Ratings as independently verified by a HERS Rater, Build Green New Mexico and the State of New Mexico Energy Conservation Management Division.

The company also builds, furnishes, and manages green-certified properties that it owns as short-term and long-term rental homes. Dee has been building spec and custom homes since 1996, after retiring as a U.S. Air Force Officer. He has won numerous local, state, regional, and national building and design competition awards including the NAHB’s Best Luxury Green Built Home Award, Spirit of the West Green Building Award, NM Las Casitas Housing Excellence Awards (Best Custom Builder, Best Green Custom Builder), Homebuilders Association of Central New Mexico’s Rising Star Builder of the Year, and several Homes of Enchantment Parades of Homes Awards. He has been featured in Green Builder Magazine, Builder Architect Magazine, Builder News Magazine, Su Casa Magazine, and the NM Homebuilders Association Housing Journal. His green-built new home construction has been featured in the Renovation Nation TV Series with Steve Thomas.

As an Air Force Officer, he was the recipient of several awards and recognitions such as the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, three Outstanding Unit Effectiveness Awards (the highest level inspection rating given to the top 5% of all base-level organizations) and various base and command-level awards.

Dee is an MBA graduate and enjoys traveling (has traveled to over 70 countries in 7 continents), snow-skiing and snow-boarding, hiking, volunteering in his local church and spending time with family and friends.
